Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has called for political tolerance and peaceful coexistence among leaders and residents of the Mt Kenya region during a visit to NARC-Kenya leader Martha Karua’s political backyard.
Kindiki urged politicians to respect divergent political opinions, warning against hostility and divisions that could undermine unity in the region.
He emphasized the need for leaders to engage in constructive politics and prioritize development rather than personal attacks against their opponents.
The Deputy President’s visit comes amid growing political competition in the Mt Kenya region, where leaders continue to position themselves ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Kindiki called on residents to maintain peace and support development initiatives, insisting that political differences should not become a source of conflict among communities.
