Embu County health department has announced health outreach program dubbed Madaktari Mashinani calling on residents to come out in large numbers to receive specialized medical treatment
According to Pauline Nginyo, promotional officer at Embu county health department, the initiative involves deploying teams of specialist doctors to local health facilities to provide consultations, disease screening, and rehabilitative care.
The initiative is set to begin tomorrow date 14 may 2026 in Kianjokoma and will be happening across all sub-counties
The programme seeks to decentralise healthcare by reducing reliance on major facilities like Embu Level Five Hospital, and also easing the burden of travel expenses to the patients.
