Bishop Kimani urges youth to shun corruption, embrace integrity

Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Embu, Rt. Rev. Peter Kimani Ndung’u, has urged young people, particularly Generation Z, to shun corruption and embrace integrity, warning that the vice fuels poverty, unemployment, environmental degradation, disease and ignorance.

Bishop Kimani challenged the youth to become agents of change by rejecting dishonest practices and taking responsibility for shaping the country’s future.

He noted that corruption, fraud and misuse of public resources undermine human dignity, destroy God’s creation and hinder national development.

“If we want to fight poverty, environmental destruction and unemployment, we must fight corruption,” he said.

Speaking to ACI Africa on Sunday, October 25, during the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Daughters of St. Paul in Westlands, Nairobi, the Bishop urged young professionals to uphold honesty, advocate for fair wages and equal opportunities, and consider the welfare of others.

He called on Kenyans to embrace truth, integrity and accountability, stressing that everyone has a role in ending corruption.
