Bishop Kimani warns christians against self-serving leaders

Diocese of Embu Bishop Peter Kimani Ndung’u has urged Kenyans to reject self-serving leaders ahead of next year’s General Election and elect those committed to serving the public.

Speaking during the Sacrament of Confirmation at St. Thomas More Kairuri Parish, the Bishop cautioned voters against leaders who pursue personal interests and undertake substandard projects for public relations.

He urged Christians to scrutinise the character, promises, agenda and track record of political aspirants before making their choices.

Bishop Kimani also called on Christians to pray for the country’s leadership and future, saying elections provide an opportunity to promote accountability and responsible leadership.

He urged voters to prioritise leaders who put public welfare first.
