Students Urged to Uphold Discipline During Midterm Break

Students have been urged to uphold discipline and take personal responsibility to safeguard their character during the June midterm break.

Speaking during the Archdiocese of Nairobi school heads spiritual retreat at the John Cardinal Njue Pastoral Centre, Principal Francis Mburu, encouraged learners to return to school with renewed commitment and a positive attitude for the remainder of the term.

He urged students to embrace dialogue with teachers whenever they have grievances and challenged them to set clear objectives that will help them remain focused on their academic and personal growth.

He called upon parents to play a more active role in guiding their children by monitoring the company they keep and their engagement on social media platforms.

“Parents should instill values of responsibility, accountability and discipline. They should advise the children on different issues, pray together and engage them to understand their perspectives,” added Principal Henry Kamunde.

Meanwhile, the Catholic Private Education Institution Association (CAPEIA) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening Catholic education through continuous mentorship programmes for both teachers and learners.
